PURPOSE OF THE FIRE SCIENCE PROGRAM
The Fire Science program will prepare
a new student for an exciting new career in a public or private
Fire Science field, and enhance career advancements of current Fire
Fighters. The student will learn both the theoretical concepts
and practical application of Fire Suppression, Fire Science Management,
Fire Prevention Techniques, Arson Investigation, and the mitigation
of Hazardous Material Accidents.
PROGRAM GOALS
- To provide the community with the highest quality of fire protection
professional.
- To provide the students with the knowledge and skills to safely
protect the citizenry and its property against all types of emergencies.
- To provide the students with the most current information that
will prepare them for advancement within their departments.
- To provide the students with a quality education that will
allow them to be highly competitive within any employment endeavor.
